摘要 |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a ceramic composite material having superior mechanical strength and thermal stability of its texture over the wide temp. range from room temp. to a high temp. and remarkably improving these characteristics especially at high temp. by combining two or more kinds of crystal phases different from each other in compsn. SOLUTION: This ceramic composite material consists of two or more kinds of crystal phases different from each other in compsn. Each of the phases has an irregular shape and a continuously and three-dimensionally arranged and entangled texture and at least one of the phases is a single crystal phase. The two or more kinds of crystal phases may be the combination of eutectic phases. When this ceramic composite material is used as a structural member to be stably used at >=1,400 deg.C in the air over a long time, it consists preferably of two or more kinds of oxides including a metal oxide and multiple oxide of two or more kinds of metals. |
