PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid polymer electrolyte comprising a polymer having a cross-linked or branched structure of a poly- or oligooxyalkylene, having a good membrane strength and a high ionic conductivity, excellent in processability, large current characteristics, etc., and applicable in an electric double layer capacitor. SOLUTION: This solid polymer electrolyte contains at least one kind of polymer having a cross-linked or branched structure including a polyoxyalkylene or oligooxyalkylene and at least one electrolyte and the composition ratio of polyoxypropylene in the before poly- or oligooxyalkylene part is >=70mol.%. The electrolyte is preferably one kind selected from an alkali metal salt, a quaternary ammonium salt, a quarternary phosphonium salt and a transition metal salt. An electric cell having high reliability and easy processability such as formation into a thin layer and capable of allowing a taking out of a large current therefrom is obtained by using the solid polymer electrolyte. |
