FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this is used for cutting continuously moving sheet material in sheet-moulding and bending machines. Device has frame with reverse travel unit movable along frame supports, upper blade and carriage with lower blade installed in frame, guide strips secured on edges of blade holders, clamping strips, carriage moving drive located on frame, and means for adjusting side clearance between blades in the form of two side members adjustable by turnbuckles. Carriage moving drive mechanism of crank and connecting rod type is in the form of eccentric crank shaft and bearing supports of connecting rod with carriage mounted on its end and having widened part for accommodation of electric motor, coupling and reducer in the form of pair of worm gears.
