PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent foreign material such as dusts or the like from entering through an opening having a diffuser fixed thereto even if an air conditioner is left for a long period of time in its non-use condition by a method wherein the opening of a cabinet can be opened or closed by a lid which is pivoted. SOLUTION: A diffuser driving device of an air conditioner comprises a diffuser 100 arranged at an opening of a cabinet 1 so as to feed air wind generated at an air conditioning part within the cabinet 1, a rotating driving part 200 in which the diffuser 100 is pivotably supported at the cabinet 1 and the diffuser 100 is rotationally driven in an upward or a downward direction in such a way that a lid 110 of the diffuser 100 can open or close the opening, and a control part 500 for controlling a rotating range of the diffuser 100 with the rotating driving part 200.
