PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply attach or detach a lamp by using a robot by fixing a column-shaped metal terminal rod to a base terminal plate at both ends of the lamp. SOLUTION: In a high pressure vapor discharge lamp formed in such a way that a light emitting tube made up of a light transmissive alumina ceramic tube 1 or a quartz tube is assembled in a quartz outer tube 2 having a base at both ends, and an FC 2 type base 3 is fit, a column-shaped metal terminal rod 6 is screwed and fixed to a base terminal plate 4 at both ends. A gap between the column-shaped metal terminal rod 6 and the base terminal plate 4 is soldered with solder having a melting point of 240 deg.C or less for fixing.
