PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a title on a top-down basis by determining the constitution of the title interactively with a user and determining all input/output file specifications of respective processes of the title generation according to the determined constitution when multimedia data and a multimedia title wherein their reproduction order is recorded are generated. SOLUTION: A title constitution supporting means 101 generates the capacity of the multimedia title 106 and the reproduction procedure of the multimedia data when the user 104 inputs recording format and amount of the multimedia data. At the same time, title generation indication information 103 indicating the input/output file specification of the respective processes of the title generation is generated. A title media generating means 102 generates the multimedia title 106 from multimedia raw materials 105 that the user 104 has prepared according to the title generation indication information 103.
