PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of the spread spectrum demodulator. SOLUTION: A spread spectrum signal is given to a correlation device 12, consisting of a SAW-matched filter or the like, from which a correlation output is obtained. A peak detector 18 detects a peak of the correlation output, and it is fed to a clock generator 20. The clock generator 20 allows sample-and-hold circuits 22a, 22b, 22c to sample data at three points, close to the correlation peak, and the values are compared by a comparator 24. According to the comparison result, the clock generator 20 controls a sampling timing to obtain a highest output of the sample-and-hold circuit 22b to obtain the peak value by the sample-and-hold circuit 22b, and this is outputted. |
