Metallic aluminium-containing moist waste mixture processing

Preparing a finely divided, metallic aluminium-containing, moist waste mixture for use in a steel-making process comprises: (a) breaking up and homogenising the waste mixture; (b) mixing in a dry dust to absorb and/or react with the moisture and form a storage-stable granular product; (c) sieving off a pneumatically transportable fine fraction of below 6 mm particle size; and (d) comminuting the sieve oversize material for recycling in the process or for supply to another beneficiation operation.
