PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive, sufficiently flexible and heat-resistant insulation coating material by making a specified amount of 2,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate residues as the diisocyanate residues contain in a polycarbodiimide molecule. SOLUTION: This composition consists mainly of a polycarbodiimide copolymer having a structure represented by formula I (wherein, 4<=n<=100; R<1> is a monoisocyanate residue; and R is an organic diisocyanate residue and contains at least 5% structural units represented by formula II). The organic diisocyanate residue represented by R is at least one selected from the group consisting of the residues of isocyanates including 2,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, 4,4'- diphenylmethane diisocyanate, 2,4-tolylene diisocyanate, 2,6-tolylene diisocyanate, hexamethylene diisocyanate, norbornane diisocyanate. |
