PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image with good an S/N ratio in photographing using a microballoon contrast medium by injecting microparticles of an explosive substance into an object and exploding the microparticles by ultrasonic waves to produce an image based on the ultrasonic waves generated at the time. SOLUTION: Echo data are collected by orderly scanning an ultrasonic beam in an object OBJ using an ultrasonic probe PRB in a condition without injecting a contrast medium, and an echo image is produced at an image producing part IMG. The echo image is stored in an image memory MEM and displayed on a display part DIS. Then, for instance, a microballoon contrast medium containing detonating gas is injected into the object OBJ, and the instantaneous sound pressure at the region of an image ROI is scanned as a value sufficient to break the microballoon. As a result, the microballoon is broken and exploded, and then the echo data thereof are collected at a transceiver TRX through the ultrasonic probe PRB to produce a contrast image on the image producing part IMG. |
