<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently separate and recover mercury and a second metal from a material containing mercury as a first metal and the second metal other than mercury. SOLUTION: The objective material to be treated containing the mercury and the second metal is introduced into an airtight vessel 1501 connected with a first gas exhaust system 1502 provided with a liquid-sealed type vacuum pump. The temp. and the pressure in the airtight vessel 1501 are adjusted and the objective material is heated under reduced pressure to extract te mercury- containing gas. The extracted mercury-containing gas is recovered with the liquid-seal circulating system of the liquid-sealed type vacuum pump. Then, the gas exhaust system 1502 is change over to a second gas exhaust system 1503a, and the temp. and the pressure in the airtight vessel 1501 is adjusted to vaporize the second metal under reduced pressure, and the second metal is condensed in a recovering chamber 1509a and recovered.</p> |
