PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water quality improving device of a float type utilizing wave force. SOLUTION: A cylindrical body 5 formed vertically long is pendently installed at the central part or required point of a hollow float 1 having a trapezoidal section through the float. The top end of this cylindrical body 5 is opened into the upper surface 2 of the float 1. This upper surface 2 is provided with a groove part 6 connected to the cylindrical body 5. The bottom end of the cylindrical body 5 is provided with a perforated bottom plate 7 and filter media are laid thereon. Waves ride over a slope 4 and are aerated. The aerated waves flow into the cylindrical body 1 and, at this time, suspended dust is collected. The aerated water entering the cylindrical body 1 is supplied to the middle layers and bottom layers of the sea and lake water from holes 8, 8 at its bottom end.
