PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coffin which can be assembled without gaps between parts to obtain a good appearance even after a surface covering material is stuck, requires only small space for storage and transportation, and can be easily handled when stored and transported. SOLUTION: This coffin consists of an oblong base board 1, two side boards 3 to be attached to two long sides of the base board 1, and two side planks 5 to be attached to two short sides of the base board 1, all of which can be assembled. A long engagement groove 6 is formed inside along the lower edge of a side board 3 to which a long side 2 of the base board 1 can be engaged, and a short engagement groove 7 is formed inside along the lower edge of a side plank 5 to which a short side 4 of the base board 1 can be engaged. A surface covering material 11 is stuck at least on the surface 8 of the side boards 3 and the surface 9 of the side planks 5. And lace material is attached along each butting part of a side board 3 and a side plank 5 on both surfaces 8 and 9 or on either one of them. |
