PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast coated paper for ink jet recording especially with high blank face luster, outstanding ink jet recording (print) suitability and high recorded image preservability. SOLUTION: A coated layer containing pigment and an adhesive is formed on a base paper, and a cast coated layer is formed by applying a cast coating liquid containing a polymer resin and at least, one type of metal salt selected from zinc, aluminum, magnesium and calcium. In addition, the cast coated layer is press-contacted with a heated mirror drum and then is finished by drying. |
