Bleeding on menstruation or after birth is absorbed using a panty (1) intended for sanitary purposes, including absorbent napkin material and is disposable. Preferably a waist band (4) of elastic material, particularly rubber, is provided and the front (2) and back (4) are of a recyclable, tear-resistant unwoven material which is impermeable to moisture.
