Contact carrier for fastening of metal wire

The contact carrier (1) comprises a gap (3), in which a wire end (4) of a metal wire (5) to be fastened is inserted, up to a gap base (7). A protrusion (9) is formed on at least one of the side surfaces (8) of the contact carrier, which proceeds at least in the area of the gap base, along the contour line (14) of the gap. An inner surface of the protrusion meets with the contour line of the gap, and elongates a contact surface area for the wire end in the gap. The gap is preferably formed as a slot, extending from a gap opening to the gap base.
