The flat flexible blind winds on and off a shaft at one side of the vehicle and extending in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle, and is secured when extended to a holder at the other side. The shaft (9) is situated at a distance from the rear entrance for the blind (8) such as to form a compensation run (12) when winding or unwinding. A guide (10) for the blind is provided at the entrance, at which there can also be braking components preventing the formation of folds in the blind during both of these operations. An outlet slot (13) can be formed in the load-space sidewall (5) of the load space. The slot ends curve upwards or downwards respectively, dependent on whether the shaft is below or above the level of the entrance.
