Transmitting signals to motor vehicles

The method involves providing a transmission of signals to cars (10,11). The signals are emitted from transmitters (60) arranged outside the vehicle (10,11) and are received by receivers (62) which are located inside the vehicle (10,11). The signals are analysed in electronic circuit modules. The transmitters (60) are arranged near roads (30,40,50) and emit signals (61) which correspond to the information to be transmitted, through traffic signs. The transmitters (60) may be ultrasonic and transmit ultrasound signals which are detected by ultrasonic receivers (62). The received signals may be processed in the circuit modules with a predetermined time delay. The information may be displayed on a display unit.
