PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system capable of suppressing degradation of its performance due to a test program to the minimum. SOLUTION: In the computer system in which a test program 14 for diagnosing whether the system is normally operated or not is executed at fixed periods, a test starting program 11 stores the time when the test program 14 has been executed last time in a test execution recording table, and also calculates an interval from the last execution time to the present time when the test starting program 11 is started. Then the test starting program 11 determines whether the test program 14 is started or not from the calculated interval and respective setting execution intervals of the test program 14 stored in an execution interval setting table 12. Thus, starting control, i.e., starting at opportune intervals according to the importance of hardware to be tested is enabled. |
