PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excavated soil from settling in the slurry chamber in a slurry shielding machine. SOLUTION: A slurry suction opening and a slurry discharge opening are formed in the chamber 6 of a slurry shielding machine and connected to each other through a pipe 16. And a pump 17 is installed on the way of the pipe 16. The pump 17 is driven to circulate the slurry in the chamber 6 in order to prevent settling of the soil.
