DEVELOPER FOR HEAT ROLLER FIXING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer for heat roller fixing having a compsn. which obviates the occurrence of developer fusion and attachment to a pulverizing machine in the process for improvement of fixability, and for heat roller fixing of a small grain size for the purpose of obtaining high image quality. SOLUTION: The developer for heat roller fixing is constituted by using a styrene polymer (styrene butyl acrylate copolymer or styrene homopolymer) having >=2 maximal values in a mol.wt. distribution as an essential component to the state that the low molecular peak mol.wt. corresponding to the maximal value on the lowest mol.wt. side is >=3500 and <=5000 and that the low mol.wt. ratio in the low mol.wt. side region is >=40% and <=6%. The occurrence of the fusion to the pulverizing machine is averted while the sufficient fixing strength is assured.
