MANUFACTURE OF PLATE-LIKE UNIT WITH RESIN FRAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plate-like unit with a frame having accurate profile size by smoothly integrating a molding with the unit and improving an external appearance of the frame. SOLUTION: A molding 16 is advanced from a molding die 1 toward a cavity of a press-bonding member 20. A biting part 32 of the molding 16 is inserted into guide pawls 34 to expand an opening of the part 32 as compared with a thickness of a plate-like unit 22. An inner surface of the part 32 passing the pawls 34 is heated by the pawls 34 to be softened. The molding 16 is inserted into the cavity of the member 20. Then, a driving robot is driven to move the unit 22 so that a peripheral edge of the unit 22 is inserted into the part 32 of the molding 16 expanded by the pawls 34 and thereafter inserted into the cavity of the member 20. Then, the molding 16 is integrated with the edge of the unit 22.
