Convention date, Nov. 19, 1930. [Class 108 (iii).] In vehicle shock-absorbers in which one or both of a pair of pivoted arms are connected by spherical interengaging surfaces to the frame and the axle, one of the members on which a spherical surface is formed is adapted to slide freely in a direction which is transverse to the plane of movement of the arms. The two pivoted arms 23, 26 are arranged transversely of the vehicle and are connected respectively to the frame 10 and axle 14, a plain cylindrical connection 24, 25 being employed for the upper arm. The end of the lower arm 26 is formed as a cup 30 in which is mounted slidably a bearing member 29 engaging a ball 28 on the end of the pin 27 which connects the shackle of the transverse spring 15 to the axle 14. The axle is connected to the frame by radius arms 21. |
