PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording body which is excellent in coloring characteristics, does not generate a blocking when getting wet with water, and of which the stamping property is improved. SOLUTION: On the surface of a supporting body, a thermal coloring layer containing a heat-sensible coloring component, is provided, and a protective layer is provided on the heat-sensible coloring layer for this heat-sensible recording body. For such a heat-sensible recording body, the protective layer contains silica of which the pore volume is 1.0ml/g or higher, and of which the average particle diameter being measured by a colter counter, is 1.0-3.0μm. And in addition, a binding agent for the protective layer contains 1-50wt.% of a water absorbent urethane polymer having a film formability, based on the total binding agent in the protective layer. |
