PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-off communication system in which voice quality nearly equal to that of a conventional software hand-off even when the hardware hand-off with a simple system configuration is adopted. SOLUTION: A base station 10 is provided with a silence period detection means 11 detecting a silence period of the base station, a silence code data generating means 12 generating silence code data by the detection of the silence period, and a transmission data selection means 14 selecting the silence code data in place of voice data at the head of the silence period and giving the data to a transmitter 15, and a mobile station 20 is provided with a hand-off condition relax means 23 by which the hand-off condition is realized by decreasing the threshold level of reception signal power required for the switching of the base station in this hand-off communication system. |
