Nitrogen cooler for electronic assemblies, especially sensors

The device has is arranged such that above a nitrogen reservoir (3) is located an evaporator (6) with the sensor (2) within a vacuum insulation (4). From the evaporator a rising tube (8) opens into the reservoir. The rising tube is fitted with a vacuum casing (9) and an electric heater (10). A vapour conducting tube (5) is located at the evaporator to discharge evaporated nitrogen into the atmosphere. Preferably the cooling performance is controlled by adjusting the heating current, via the supply quantity of liquefied nitrogen.
