The seat has an airbag module (12) covered by the upholstery, which has a cover flap defined by a break through-line. The upholstery covering has a slit (13) extending along the break through-line in the cove flap (14). Along the slit edges (16), on both sides of the covering, the cover flap and airbag module are fastened. The edges of the upholstery can be held by strips (17) fastened to the cover flap. The strips can have undulating surfaces (18) for gripping the edges of the upholstery material.
