The arrangement has a temperature-controlled switch component formed as a bimetal switch with a hydraulic device incorporating a pump for the steering aid in a road vehicle. The valve arrangement incorporates a build-up pressure valve (11) in fluid connection with the pressure area of the pump, the switch function of which can be influenced with the aid of the temperature-controlled switch component. The build-up pressure valve incorporates a switch body formed as a displaceable valve ring (43), on which on the one hand the pressure provided in the pressure area of the pump and on the other hand a spring force (spring 41) acts. The valve ring terminates a pressure chamber (49), which is connected with the pressure area of the pump. The pressure chamber is connected via a feed channel (51) with the pressure area (17).
