PROCESS FOR PRODUCING TARGET SUBSTANCES BY FERMENTATION
摘要
A process which aims at efficiently producing a target substance by fermentation while regulating the extra-chromosomal retention and detachment of a gene. The process comprises culturing and propagating a microorganism which retains a gene disadvantageously acting on the production of the target substance and a plasmid containing the replication origin of the temperature sensitivity wherein the gene capable of exhibiting its function is located exclusively on the plasmid at a temperature allowing the plasmid to replicate, then effecting the culture at a temperature at which the plasmid cannot replicate to thereby detach the plasmid from the cells, and then continuing the culture to thereby efficiently produce the target substance.
