The air opener consists of a hand-driven pump which has a stainless medical needle (figure 1) or a direct current electrically-driven pump (figure 2), again with a stainless medical needle. Opening is achieved by channelling air inside the bottle resulting in the cork being forced out with a very satisfying noise fitting the occasion but, at the same time, harmless. Metal caps are opened with the common almond-shaped key. The needle folds for safety. |
