发明名称 OPTICAL TYPE CHEMICAL SENSOR, AND DETECTION METHOD USING THE SAME
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical type chemical sensor which overcomes low stability of the existing optical type chemical sensor in a high pH environment by using a Zr/Si sol gel glass as the binder. SOLUTION: This sensor contains a light transmissible base body and a light waveguide which has a film made of an environmentally sensitive compound in a binder on the base body. The environmentally sensitive compound is a chemically sensitive pigment, which is a pH sensitive pigment. The example of the pigment contain Neil blue, fluoresceine, oxazine 1 and bromocresol green. The binder is a Zr/Si sol gel glass. A film made of the environmentally sensitive compound of the Zr/Si sol gel glass binder is provided at least along a part of the length of a light waveguide base body to utilize an evanescent field of light to be transmitted through the light waveguide. The light waveguide base body can employ an inorganic glass material, preferably, silica glass.
