PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the processor to cope with a high image output speed with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An image reader 2-1 and an image processing circuit 2-2 are driven by a clock signal whose frequency is 30MHz and an image signal processed by the image processing circuit 2-2 is stored in 2 systems of frame memories 2-4, 2-5 via an output changeover device 2-3. Then the output changeover device 2-3 reads simultaneously data of odd numbered lines and of even numbered lines respectively by using a clock signal whose frequency is 21.5MHz (=43MHz÷2) and they are fed to image recording devices 2-6, 2-7. The image data of odd numbered lines and even numbered lines are simultaneously drawn on a photosensing body by emitting a laser beam of the odd numbered lines and even numbered lines from the two systems of LD units to one system of polygon mirror.
