METHOD FOR PURIFYING HYDROGEN GAS AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the simplification of structure and the achievement of high-ratio recovery of hydrogen. SOLUTION: The hydrogen gas recovered from a dynamo-electric generator 1 is occluded in a hydrogen gas-recovering vessel 20, then the hydrogen gas is purged from the hydrogen gas-recovering vessel 20. In this process, a hydrogen gas portion which is initially purged and largely contains impure gas is led to a gas tank 2 for storing. The portion which is subsequently purged from the hydrogen-occluding alloy in the hydrogen-recovering vessel 20 and is highly pure is recycled to the dynamo-electric generator 1. The process comprising the occlusion and purging of hydrogen gas in the hydrogen-recovering vessel 20 and storing in the gas tank 2 is repeated one to plural times, and then the hydrogen gas stored in the gas tank 2 and largely containing impure gas is led to the hydrogen-recovering vessel 20 to be occluded. Subsequently, the gas portion which is initially purged and contains largely impure hydrogen gas is discharged outside, and the portion subsequently purged from the hydrogen- occluding alloy in the hydrogen-recovering vessel 20 and containing highly pure hydrogen is recycled to the dynamo-electric generator 1.
