<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the triboelectrostatic charge quantity with an electrostatic charge imparting material, to make a triboelectrostatic charge quantity distribution sharp and uniform, to improve the rising and environment stability of electrostatic charge and to enable the control of the electrostatic charge quantity by incorporating the metal complex of specific 8-hydroxyquinoline or the metal salt of the specific 8-hydroxyquinoline as a charge control agent into toners. SOLUTION: The metal complex of the 8-hydroxyquinoline expressed by formula I or the metal salt of the 8-hydroxyquinoline expressed by formula II is incorporated as the charge control agent into the electrostatic charge image developing toners consisting essentially of a binder resin, coloring agent and charge control agent. In the formula I, R1 , R2 denote hydrogen, halogen, 1 to 10C alkyl groups, alkenyl groups, alkoxy groups or aryloxy groups; M denotes a metal element belonging to group II of periodic table; X denotes a carboxyl group or its ester. In the formula II, M denotes a metal element belonging to group II or group Ia of periodic table and n denotes 1 or 2.</p> |
