PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measuring accuracy by calculating a true boundary coordinate being the intersection of the density profile and the binarization threshold value of a gradation image based on an adjacent coordinate, its density value and the binarization threshold value. SOLUTION: The gradation image of an eggplant 1 picked-up by means of a camera 3A or 3B is inputted to a binarization part 7 by an image input part 5. The binarization part 7 binarizes the gradation image with a prescribed threshold value and a binary image measuring part 9 detects the temporary boundary coordinates of an object and its background. Based on this temporary coordinates, their density values, an adjacent coordinate, its density value and the binarization value, a gradation image measuring part 10 calculates the true boundary coordinate being the intersection of the density profile and the binarzation threshold value of the gradation image. Thereby measuring precision is improved. |
