PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make not only action noun but also common noun within the processing range for the noun part of a functional verb plus a noun to an action noun, and decrease the amount of stored information. SOLUTION: An expression dictionary 4 has a noun list showing a noun combined with some functional verb and its equivalent, an equivalent to the functional noun when the functional verb is combined with the noun in the noun list, and meaning information showing the meaning corresponding to the category of the noun list having the same equivalent. A word dictionary 5 has meaning information for an arbitrary noun. An expression equivalent determination part 3 when determining an equivalent to a functional verb plus a noun extracts their combination if it is stored in the expression dictionary 4, but takes meaning information on the noun out of the word dictionary 5 and determines the equivalent of the category having the same meaning information in the expression dictionary 4 and determines it as an equivalent to the functional noun unless the combination is found in the expression dictionary 5. |
