<p>A fluid dispensing Nozzle comprising: a body (115) which is axially aligned with, and is surrounded by, a connector portion (102) for coupling and uncoupling onto a matching and mating connector receptacle (not shown) which is associated with a further fluid transport mechanism; a connection present sensor (114) which is positioned so that during the coupling process it will experience an interfering contact with the matching and mating connector receptacle; a pressure chamber (104) within which is an axially aligned pre-flow pressurised power snout (103) which is able to move along the central axis of the pressure chamber and which has a sealing portion (128) which can come into engagement with the seal or sealing section on the mating connector receptacle; a pressure chamber supply valve (107) which is located within a trigger passageway (110) between the main fluid supply and a trigger passageway valve (109) which is responsive to the positional placement of the connection present sensor. A main dispensing valve (112) for initiating or terminating the dispensing flow of fluid which can only be opened when there is static supply pressure within the pressure chamber sufficient to establish and maintain a seal between the pre-flow pressurised power snout and the sealing section on the mating connector receptacle.</p> |
