<p>A motorised three-wheeled golf trolley has two driven side wheels (2, 3) and a rear wheel (4) on a foldable support leg (5, figure 1). The two side wheels are retractable into a storage position so that the golf trolley takes up approximately the same space as its non-motorised counterparts. This is achieved without needing to dismantle the golf trolley. Each wheel is slidably mounted on a drive shaft (20, 21) which has two shaft portions (22, 24; 24, 25) connected by a swivel joint (26, 27). In the operating position, figure 2, the wheels are retained by latches (30, 31) on the wheel hubs (28, 29) which cooperate with slots (32, 33) in the outer shaft portions (23, 25) and the swivel joints are covered by the hubs. To collapse the trolley, figure 3, the wheels (2, 3) are moved inwardly so that the shafts portions (23, 25) are folded upwardly. <IMAGE></p> |
