Convex ostromy faceplate with floating flange and finger recess

The faceplate comprises a thermoplastic pressure ring having a convex bodyside surface and a pouchside surface with an annular mounting rib extending axially from it. There is a coupling ring having a diameter larger than the rib and coaxial with it. There is a thin annular web having an inner edge joined to the rib and an outer edge secured to the coupling ring. The pouchside surface of the pressure ring has an annular recess disposed outwardly of the rib and aligned directly with the coupling ring for receiving a user's fingers between the coupling and pressure rings. There is also a flexible adhesive wafer affixed to the bodyside surface of the pressure ring for adhesive attachment of the faceplate to peristomal skin surfaces.
