PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a Roman character type keyboard usable with consciousness to the Japanese syllabary and with no consciousness to the alphabet by marking HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) or KATAKANA (square form of Japanese syllabary) just after performing the marking in KATAKANA characters or in their combinations. SOLUTION: In a Roman character mode of a word processor, 'A', 'I', 'U', 'E', 'O' and 'KA' are inputted in KATAKANA or HIRAGANA by means of their KATAKANA keys respectively. Then, 'KI' is inputted in KATAKANA or HIRAGANA by the keys 'KA' and 'I' of KATAKANA. Furthermore, 'KU', 'KE' and 'KO' are inputted in KATAKANA or HIRAGANA by the keys of 'KA' and 'U', 'KA' and 'E', and 'KA' and 'O' of KATAKANA respectively. Thus, it's not required for an operator to fast process in his brain the knowledge of both alphabet and Roman characters which are conventionally needed for input of the Roman characters. |
