PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a padding object having a high water draining property in wetting and water washing and an excellent insectproof property by incorporating polyester fibers into wadding and side fabrics and incorporating the wadding which has a water absorption height of a specific value and is subjected to insectproof finishing into this object. SOLUTION: The fiber padding object, such as bedding like quilt and mattress, or back rest cushion or sleeping bag, is formed by using the polyester fibers and specifying the water absorption height of the wadding to <=5mm, more preferably 0mm in order to enhance the water draining property and quick drying property. The wadding is immersed in the liquid of a silicone resin based or fluorine based resin and is subjected to squeezing, drying and plastication heat treatment in order the impart water repellency to the surfaces of the wadding fibers. The wadding having the water absorption height of <=5mm is preferably incorporated into the wadding at >=15wt.% of the total weight of the wedding and most preferably at 100wt.%. The padding object contains the fibers formed by subjecting the wadding to insectproof finishing. The padding object to which a pyrethnoid based compd. is applied as an insectproof component is more preferable. This compd. is more particularly preferably phenothorine. |
