<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the adjusting method of the zero point of the opening degree of roll of a shape rolling mill by which adjustment is rapidly executed and also the occurrence rate of dimensional defect in shapes is reduced. SOLUTION: This adjusting method of the zero point of the opening degree of roll is taken as constitution having a pair of upper and lower horizontal rolls 1, 2 and a pair of vertical rolls 3, 4. In such a case, the center positions in the vertical direction of the vertical rolls 3, 4 are automatically detected and, by taking the detected center positions as a reference position, the level adjustment of either the upper horizontal roll 2 or the lower horizontal roll 1 is executed in the reference position, the lower horizontal roll 1 or the upper horizontal roll 2 whose level is not adjusted in this stage is tightened on the upper horizontal roll 2 or the lower horizontal roll 1 while executing level adjustment so that load difference between the drive side and the free side is not produced. A pair of vertical rolls 3, 4 are successively tightened on the horizontal rolls 1, 2 at a prescribed load.</p> |
