PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the airtightness and watertightness of an interface with which a mold and an electric wire are contacted, and prevent the corrosion of an electric wire conductor, or the deterioration of a connected apparatus, etc.; by forming the inner layer of a coated layer of a thermoplastic polyurethane composition, and the outer layer of a thermoplastic polyester elastmer composition. SOLUTION: The plural of an insulated electric wire 1, wherein an insulating layer 1b is provided on a conductor 1a, is stranded to form a multicore stranded insulated electric wire. A coating layer, composed of an inner layer 2 and an outer layer 3 being on the inner layer 2, is provided by extrusion molding on the outer periphery of the insulating electric wire, to form a coated electric wire 4. The inner and outer layers 2 and 3 are formed of a thermoplastic polyester elastmer compound respectively. In the coated electric wire 4, electric wire deformation, occurring at the time of injection molding under high temperature and high pressure, can be reduced, by bridging the base resin of the coated layer, thereby improving the airtightness or watertightness of the interface between the resin mold and the electric wire. |
