This refers to a water-tight absorbent pad with an inner absorbent core and an outer wrapping of water-tight absorbent material. The pad absorbs stomatic and other therapeutic materials into the absorbent core which, owing to the water-tight wrapping, isolates them in the inner absorbent core. The advantages of its application in dentistry are better and safer sterility of the region, clearer separation of the soft parts and a reduction in cost. |
