PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make dubbing a video source onto a plurality of recording media simultaneously. SOLUTION: A video signal reproduced by a VTR 11 is converted by an encoder 12 into a multiplex signal and the converted signal is fed to a signal distributer 20, in which a plurality of multiplex signals are generated. A plurality of multiplex signals are simultaneously fed to a slave processor 32. The signal conversion processing suitable for recording is conducted in the processor and recorded (dubbed) onto a recording medium provided to a drive means 33. Let number of distributed signals be M and number of recording media be (m), then one video source is simultaneously dubbed onto M×m-sets of recording media. The video source is simultaneously dubbed onto lots of recording media based on the relation of using the signal distributer.
