PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the life of a fuel cell by stabilizing the operating temperature of a fuel cell main body to reduce adverse effects on the fuel cell. SOLUTION: A water cooled cell main body 1 is provided with a primary cooling water system 2 through which cooling water is circulated. In the cell cooling water system 2, a heat exchanger 7 for cooling the cooling water, a bypass line 17 bypassing the heat exchanger 7, and a freely opening and closing regulation valve 9 for regulating the flow rate of cooling water flowing through the heat exchanger 7 and the bypass line 17 are installed. An inlet thermostat 14 and an outlet thermostat 4 are placed at the inlet and outlet of the cell main body 1, and a control means 25 for the regulation valve 9 is connected thereto. The control means 25 is designed to monitor the measurements of the inlet thermostat 14 and the outlet thermostat 4 and to control the regulation valve 9 according to the measurement with the greater deviation. |
