PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asymmetrical digital subscriber line(ADSL) receiver that receives an upstream ADSL signal and an integrated services digital network(ISDN) signal from a remote control terminal equipment on a twisted pair copper wire. SOLUTION: An ADSL transmitter 100 of a remote terminal equipment sends an ADSL signal for a frequency band upper than an ISDN frequency band so as the frequency band of the ADSL signal is not in duplicate with the frequency band of an ISDN signal. In this embodiment, an ADSL receiver 200 includes a band pass filter 201, an A/D converter 203, a decimeter 205, a high speed Fourier transformation device 210, and a digital signal processor 212. The decimeter 205 restores the ADSL signal into a base band signal, and then an ADSL signal source uses a telephone line also an ISDN signal source without so much deteriorating an ADSL throughput.
