VIRUS-LIKE PARTICLES USEFUL AS A VECTOR FOR DELIVERING NUCLEIC ACID

The invention discloses a non-infectious virus-like particle (VLP) comprising (i) a capsid defining an internal space and constituted at least by all or part of the L1 protein and optionally all or part of the E2 protein of a papillomavirus, and, (ii) a nucleic acid molecule contained in the said internal space; the nucleic acid molecule comprising a region coding for a protein of interest, in particular an antigen or a cytokin. Such VLP's can be administered in vivo and are particularly useful for vaccinal purposes in therapy or for prevention against all kinds of cancerous conditions or infections.
