Side shuttering for cast concrete foundations

The shuttering has U-shaped stirrups (1), which each have a base web (2) and side limbs (3), and are arranged at a distance from one another, which may also be in excess of 1 m. Reinforcing tubes (4) can be placed around at least the individual limbs, such that a clearance is left between each tube and the limb which it surrounds. Shuttering panels or sheets (5) can be laid against the tubes, and can be retained by clips (6). The clips have outer limbs (7) which can be inserted into the tubes, and have receptacles (8) to accommodate the shuttering panel or sheet.
