Infra=red radiator with manufacturing method

摘要

The short-wave infrared emitter has a twin parallel tube 2 of quartz glass. Within the parallel chambers are a pair of tungsten heating filaments 6,7 and these are supported in discs 8 that are spaced at uniform intervals along the tube. The ends of the filaments are looped 21,22 around a common contact pin 20 that is inserted transversely and sealed . At the other end the ends of the filaments are set into pins 11 having wires that are crimped into sealed metal couplings 14,15.
